# RegionalDAO Developments & Next Steps

One of the exciting components over the past few weeks is the clear emergence of partnerships, networks, and contacts with KulaDAO. The world of DAO is at its infancy in so many ways still, but DAOs are exponentially growing. This means we are learning together about the space and identifying where KulaDAO has some unique and specific value. 

**The Community of DAOs:**

Kula has journeyed through the first quarter of this year with around 30 other DAO leaders working on the development, structuring, and management of this new form of organization. We have been exploring how to use new platforms that allow for the execution of deliberation and decision-making before executing on-chain. The main value however has been in sharing experiences and difficulties of decentralized processing and has taught us much as we think about decision-making in remote communities and locations.

**Moving Forward with Contracts:**

KulaDAO has made our first capital investment into our first RegionalDAO. Our contract with Bekazulu (Zambia) is in its final stages, and we are excited to be moving into a new partnership phase with this wonderful team we are proud to call partners. We are so impressed with the team and their hard work to keep their project moving forward in extremely difficult circumstances. However, offtake agreements continue to be made and their product is being identified as one of the highest grades for the local and regional markets. 

**Building our Profile:**

We have traversed across the US, UK, and Asia building connections, pitching, developing partnerships, and laying the groundwork for future RegionalDAO projects. We have spoken to political leaders in Westminster and Washington and been in rural communities talking to potential investors about the mission of Kula and where we believe it can transform the lives of each stakeholder to create shared value. To each of you we’ve met – thank you! We have loved to share the project opportunities and potential with you whilst appreciating your perspectives and contributions to our shared vision.

And there is so much more to come. Keep an eye out for the next update on what we anticipate in the next few weeks and where we are working hard to deliver the next milestones for KulaDAO’s launch.
