Its wounds have etched too deep; alone, my skin turns grey. Desperate, I called with words I never thought I’d say on the phone. A dead air between us — our lips sealed shut at the mess we left behind. Of all the things I’d hide from you who’s by my side; the things that hurt the most are the ones that were left unsaid. Hours have gone, and the air seems cold; arms with a lukewarm hold have become a missing tone. Oh, hide me from the sorrows and take away the pain. This is not what I wanted; this is not what I dreamed.
