# Shardeum Airdrop Confirmed

_We have long been waiting for it and now it has finally happened: The Shardeum airdrop has been confirmed!_

Shardeum is the world´s first EVM-based L1 which uses dynamic state sharding to achieve linear scalability. Linear scalability provides low gas fees forever while maintaining true decentralization and solid security.

Let´s first start by setting up our Metamask wallet for the Shardeum network before we proceed with testing some of the apps built on Shardeum.

Step 1

*   Add Shardeum Liberty 2.X testnet to Metamask. Go to \*\*[Chainlist](https://chainlist.org/chain/8081) \*\*connect your wallet and add the testnet.

Step 2

*   Get faucet. Go to the [**Shardeum faucet page**](https://faucet.liberty20.shardeum.org/) and click on ´Tweet Now´. Click ´Okay´ and replace 0x000… with your wallet address. Then tweet and copy and paste your tweet link. Now you can click ´Request SHM´ to claim faucet.

**Shardeumswap**

_Dex_

*   Open [https://dex.shardeumswap.finance/swap](https://dex.shardeumswap.finance/swap) and connect wallet
    
*   Swap at least 5 times
    
*   Enter any amount, click ´Swap´ and confirm in your wallet

*   Click ‘Liquidity’. Click ‘Add liquidity’ and select token. Click ‘Supply’.

*   Dotshm domain is on Polygon but will migrate to Shardeum at mainnet launch. Minting cost is 8 Matic.

**Testnet**

*   On the Dotshm homepage, select the Shardeum Liberty 2.1 testnet
    
*   Search domain name and register your domain name. Confirm transaction in your wallet. You need 99SHM so request faucet twice.
