I will spend an hour a day writing and publishing something new. It can be on anything I want. It can be about anything I want. But I have to post something. The rule is simple: publish something new every day. My goal is to improve at writing and explaining concepts I am interested in.Questions That I want to AddressDoes it have to be for an hour? No. If I’m feeling myself, I can put more time in. If I feel like a potato, I can crank something out quickly. However, I like the framing of 1 hour. It’s enough time to think and write about a topic but not too much time to overthink it. 1 hour is long enough that I need to plan time into my day but short enough to be doable. Most importantly, it will force me to sit down, focus, and not be afraid of publishing work that isn’t perfect (or even good). I will try to give myself a 1 hour time limit, though. I always found I was most productive that hour before an assignment was due. Why Tiny Bytes? Tiny because I want these posts to be short. This will make this challenge doable and allow me to practice being concise in my explanations. Bytes because it’s a CS play on bites. Those who know me know I like puns and computer science (honestly, a little too much, I’m not sure how people stand me sometimes), so many pieces of content will probably have a tech/CS tint. While I feel that recently the wordplay of bits & bytes has been getting a little stale, I’m happy Tiny Bytes and don’t have too much time left to overthink it. I want to note that I like the word Tasty so I may throw that word in there at some point in some way. How long will I do this for? IDK however long I like. My minimum goal is for 30 days. Any less, and friends can give me shit. If I make it to a couple of months, that would be awesome! A year and wow. If I write a post tomorrow, I’ll be happy that I started this.
