I’m really curious how privacy laws are going to play out. I read a story about a lawsuit relating to images of Kobe Bryant’s death. It’s an interesting example of a very private moment you’d expect to be kept private. It’s personal and shows how people in power can mess up the handling of sensitive information. It is also something that’s not harmful in the macro sense. Its a symptom of how easy it is for our most private moments to no longer become private. And it should be private. But it it’s not the biggest issue. There are plenty of videos of dying people on the internet. They don’t provide anyone a large amount of power. Not in the same way knowing human behaviors and messages do. I’m very glad that there’s some more respect for privacy in the courts. I wonder if the main reason it’s happening is because it’s Kobe Bryant or if it’s not a way a large company/government gets power. I wonder if there are some negatives of strong privacy that’s only enforced in the courts. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/08/12/us/kobe-bryant-crash-photos-trial.html Night, Lucas ## Publication Information - [ldnovak](https://paragraph.com/@ldnovak/): Publication homepage - [All Posts](https://paragraph.com/@ldnovak/): More posts from this publication - [RSS Feed](https://api.paragraph.com/blogs/rss/@ldnovak): Subscribe to updates
