# First step in mirror

I've been learning web3 for a few months now, but it wasn't until yesterday that I noticed that mirror.xyz has a important role in the web3 world, even though I saw mirror.xyz early on but ignored it at the time. I try to think why is this happening? The first reason may be based on my bias. I have heard of many blockchain projects that confirm ownership in various industries. Most of them just stay on an idea, and the actual process is difficult to implement. When I first heard mirror.xyz, I immediately thought of steamit. I thought that mirror.xyz was another similar test that wouldn't last long.
