# Abstraverse: we must give value to the priceless

priceless - so ‘precious’ that its value can’t be determined precious - of high cost or worth; valuable ↓ in the context of a new art renaissance (where there is a budding and sustainable ‘industry’ or artistic wealth) - operating under the ‘art is priceless’ meme will not be sufficient for where we wish to go. in fact, it is opposed to the memetics we wish to help propagate at the av club. we recognize the value of art here. emotional relief, charging, outlets, etc environmental organization, attuning, personalization, etc economic storing of value, investing asset, status marker, etc .. and now we exist in a space where this value can be distributed peer to peer, handled anonymously, & used to the full rights of the agreed value exchange w/o centralized middlemen. the task we get to help figure out is what exactly are the heights of this value recognition? what can be done with this new space & a properly flourished ecosystem of 1/1 artistic value (think IP but from straight from the tap). we don’t really know. we have some ideas, and we believe in them - time will tell. but the whole ‘art is so valuable that its value can’t be determined’ paradigm is outdated.
