# I seem to have teleported

just wowthis week I was granted access to full usage of the Midjourney ai. I have been making art for around 8 yrs (photo, acrylic, oil, digital, music, etc) & this by far is the most exciting development in the near decade I have been expressing myself ‘publicly’. the merging of ai and human cognition is one of the more exciting inevitabilities to me personally - especially the desire to use it for ‘protopia’ outcomes. creating with ai relentlessly for only 72 hours and I truly feel as if I have gone > 100 yrs into the future.the depths of my imagination are unlockedthe ability to ‘code’ with my thinking is now a reality‘conjuring’ of specific assets to incorporate in my ‘traditional’ mediums is herethe wrk is orders of magnitude better almost instantaneouslythe futureif u exist in the (crypto, nft) space then u are well aware of the generative art movement. admittedly I used to feel envious of their spotlight at first - it was a struggle to realize the new layer of ‘creative’ expression being done by them (and truthfully I was just butt-hurt that my wrk wasn’t selling). well I’ve eaten crow on that one… as Claire Silver so eloquently put it, ‘taste is the new skill’ - there is something to the curation, collaboration, and ‘coding’ that is novel relative to ‘traditional art’ & a steps further compared to ‘digital art’ (think Adobe products, etc). it truly is a new universe to play in, one where artists will be able to cut friction on their art process + refine their ‘philosophies’ at ‘superhuman’ rates. there will be arguments that this ‘sullies’ the ‘purity’ of art, and while I can sympathize with that sentiment, I happen to strongly disagree in this moment. I am too young in the game to expound further, but I will be continuously revisiting it I’m sure.finall I know is my life will never be the same, I’m excited to the very root of my spirit, and I am looking forward to growing and learning from the other ai generative artists.
