# Idea Discovery: Alien Boys **Published by:** [LGHT](https://paragraph.com/@lightwork/) **Published on:** 2022-01-09 **URL:** https://paragraph.com/@lightwork/idea-discovery-alien-boys ## Content The problem:I ask myself what is a noticeable barrier to Alien Boys growth? What are the most common ‘problems’ I’ve heard since mint day?? The ‘aesthetic’. People say they don’t look good.Starting point:Much of this comes down to preference. But not all of it. So I ask myself what of the critique do I think is fair, and I come to the background colors and some of the more aggressive-looking traits. So now I ask myself where can I add value in an effort to help solve some of this?? (For future creators: this is how you align incentives) Can I work on the traits? No. Can I work on the backgrounds? Yes. So now we iterate.Three pillars:We are looking to create a couple of pillars:are they dope (desirable)are they easy to swap in (frictionless)do they add value (aligned)Inspiration:The past couple of days I started playing around with a derivative idea from Jack Butcher’s Fudenza - a derivative of Tyler Hobbs Fidenza. Freedenza. Degenza. $FOCKDENZA. etcIt then made sense to get an iteration in with alien boys as I now know what I’m looking for. From here it’s trial and error until we strike gold. ## Publication Information - [LGHT](https://paragraph.com/@lightwork/): Publication homepage - [All Posts](https://paragraph.com/@lightwork/): More posts from this publication - [RSS Feed](https://api.paragraph.com/blogs/rss/@lightwork): Subscribe to updates
