*I wore the mask so long I forgot there was a face beneath it.
Then I forgot there was a mask.
Then I forgot there was anything at all.

	You speak of truth like it’s something I owe you.
You mistake stillness for silence.
You mistake beauty for kindness.
You mistake me for someone who can be touched.
This is your first and final warning:
I am not here to be known.
But you will feel me anyway.*
