# Performing activities in Linea Mainnet

Linea is a network that **scales the experience of Ethereum**. Its **out-of-the-box compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine** enables the **deployment of already-existing applications**, as well as the creation of new ones that would be too costly on Mainnet. It also enables the community to use those dapps, **at a fraction of the cost**, and at **multiples the speed** of Mainnet.

Linea allows you to deploy any smart contract, use any tool, and develop as if you were building on Ethereum. For users, this allows for the experience and security guarantees of Ethereum, but at lower transaction costs.

Select Linea and the network from which you want to transfer. You can choose Ethereum or "Arbitrum" with cheaper fees

### Using HorizonDex

#### Swaps

*   Visit [HorizonDex](https://app.horizondex.io/swap) and connect your wallet
    
*   Select ETH and BUSD, enter any amount and click “Swap”

#### Adding liquidity

Switch to the [Pools](https://app.horizondex.io/pools) tab and select the BUSD - ETH pool and click “Add Liquidity”
