# The Birth of CoOwn Growth Studio

*A New Era of Web3 Growth, on Farcaster*

Introduction
------------

Co-Own Growth Studio is a Farcaster-focused growth agency that's reshaping how brands build their presence in Web3 social media. Our mission is to help brands forge deeper, more meaningful relationships with their audience while leveraging the power of co-creation, co-collaboration, and co-ownership. 

In this post, I'll share the story of how Co-Own Growth Studio came to be and why we believe it represents the future of growth in Web3 and beyond.

The Founders

Co-Own Growth Studio is the brainchild of Chris, founder of Co-Created and me, - Lior, founder of Covariance

Both of us have been experimenting on the frontiers of co-creation, collaboration, and co-ownership as core principles for value creation.

The Genesis of Our Idea
-----------------------

Our journey began with several key observations:

1.  **Meaningful growth challenge for web3 brands** -  While quest platforms, airdrops, and other mechanisms exist, they're often abused by farmers for financial speculation rather than genuine engagement.
    
2.  **The power of collaboration:** We've observed repeatedly that when you empower people to participate and give them skin in the game, remarkable things happen.
    
3.  **The value of art:** We realized that many people value art in its various forms. However, monetizing art has always been challenging.
    
    1.  **Art as a speculative asset**: During the NFT boom, we witnessed the rise of profile picture (PFP) collections and digital art becoming speculative purchases. From Bored Apes and CryptoPunks to pure collections of generative and digital art, people bought these assets expecting their value to increase.
        
    2.  **Art as a connector:** We noticed that art has the power to create meaning and connection. Shared ownership of art can bring people together in unique ways.

The Co-Own Growth Studio Concept
--------------------------------

Based on these insights, we asked ourselves: Why not create a co-owned growth studio that aligns the needs of brands, with the engagement potential of meaningful connection through art and interaction multiplied by the power of collective ownership and participation.

Our core premise is simple yet powerful: By giving people the opportunity to participate and have a stake in the outcome, we can create something truly innovative.

How Co-Own Growth Studio Works
------------------------------

**1\. Experimentation**: We experiment with the latest and greatest growth tools on Farcaster.

2. **Empowerment:** We empower studio members to participate in all stages of our campaigns.

3\. **Curation**: The studio members are a carefully curated group of individuals with deep experience on Farcaster. They have:

   - Experimented with cutting-edge tools

   - Gained invaluable insights on different approaches

   - Knowledge of emerging communities and groups

4\. **Collaboration**: By leveraging the hive mind, we become a multiplier for any brand or product launching on Farcaster.

Member Participation
--------------------

Studio members can contribute at various stages of a campaign:

1.  **Onboarding:** Bringing in new clients and negotiating commercial terms.
    
2.  **Planning**: Identifying client needs and defining campaign strategies.
    
3.  **Execution:** Participating in the campaign itself, whether through creative work or other campaign activities
    

4.  **Post campaign** - art and reputation distribution
