It works to uncover the structures that underlie all the things that humans do, think, perceive, and feel. Alternatively, Structuralism is the belief that phenomena of human life are not intelligible except through their interrelations. These relations constitute a structure, and behind local variations in the surface phenomena there are constant laws of abstract culture.– Ferdinand de Saussure, 1857 – 1913, Swiss linguist I've always been deeply fascinated by structures and visual impact of them from micro-sized ones as perceived on insects patterns to the biggest ones of architecture and satellite imagery."Prospettiva pratica" – spray on book paper page by Lodovico Minelli 2007 In my +20 years research I experimented different approaches to structuralist abstraction, from jacquard tapestry where abstract minimalism and color field painting interact with conceptual typographic messages to photographic compositions and satellite imagery research and large scale mural installations.Panels from satellite, Sacramento USA by Lodo.eth Everything I researched in the years took me to the concept of identigrams, matrix of minimal information that describe experiences from my point of view. ## Publication Information - [Lodo](https://paragraph.com/@lodo/): Publication homepage - [All Posts](https://paragraph.com/@lodo/): More posts from this publication - [RSS Feed](https://api.paragraph.com/blogs/rss/@lodo): Subscribe to updates - [Twitter](https://twitter.com/lodoeth): Follow on Twitter
