5月9日开始，本应锚定1美元价值的UST价格跌破1美元，引发“踩踏”事件。Luna币和UST价格断崖式下跌，Luna币在48小时内跌超99%，价值近乎归零，UST最低跌至4美分。要知道，放在4月5日，1枚LUNA币还值119.18美元。 暴跌事件发生一周之后，Terra创始人Da Kwon发布了“Terra生态系统重生计划”，宣布上述Luna 2.0规划，希望借剥离UST来避免Terra体系的彻底崩盘。 自暴跌发生以来，Da Kwon已经深陷各种麻烦。据韩国媒体5月23日报道，首尔市警察厅网络犯罪调查组要求韩国加密货币交易所冻结关联公司Luna Foundation Guard（LFG）的资金，以便调查员工涉嫌挪用公款的指控。
