# Managing your Lock on Extra Finance

**What you will find in this article:**

**What you need:**

*   **Staked EXTRA tokens**: you must have already staked EXTRA tokens on Extra Finance, which essentially means **having an active Lock**. If you haven’t done this yet, see my guide on [Staking on Extra Finance](https://mirror.xyz/lynnbrooke.eth/C81S0poqBnCs5qNZ4MoksFCQHoH1RrnEFugANDJRwWQ) to get started.
    

**Understanding you Lock management options:**

Once you have established a lock by staking EXTRA tokens, you can manage it directly from the “_Stake_” section on [Extra Finance’s main page](https://app.extrafi.io/staking). Here’s how to control your investment:

**1)Access your Lock**: navigate to the “_My Balances_” section to view detailed information about your lock.

**2)Management actions:** below your balance details, you will find several options:

*   **Increase**: add more EXTRA tokens to your Lock.
    
*   **Extend**: prolong the duration of your Lock.
    
*   **Maximize duration:** automatically extend the Lock to the maximum allowable time.
    
*   **Unlock**: retrieve your tokens once the lock period expires. This option becomes available only at the end of the locking time.

**Claiming Weekly Rewards**

Earning rewards is a pivotal aspect of locking your tokens. Here’s how you can claim these incentives:

**1)Eligibility:** rewards accrue after your Loc surpasses a full epoch, with distributions based on token emissions and accumulated protocol fees from last epoch, payable in EXTRA tokens. Epoch transitions occur every Thursday at 00:00 GMT, marking the distribution of rewards.

**2)View rewards:** go to “_Pending Rewards_” on the “_Stake_” section to see the EXTRA tokens awarded to you.

**3)Claim options:**

*   **Claim**: transfer your rewards directly to your wallet.
    
*   **Claim and Lock:** reinvest your rewards by adding them back to your Lock, enhancing your staking amount.
    

**4)Leveraging rewards:** consider using your rewards to participate in other protocol activities, like depositing into a lending pool on Extra Finance, to further amplify your earnings.
