History is made of people and built by monuments that marked Sever do Vouga and are still present today, more or less preserved. Like insignia on a hero's cape, they are points of reference for outsiders and foundations of our Portugal. Paço da Vala, in this image is one of them: the very calm residence of D. Afonso Henriques. A great mystery surrounds the origins of our king, but the spirit of pride of all Severenses remains, for thinking about the possibility that it was here that everything began.
