# Accenture: 5g connection Report

According to Accenture’s new report, 5g connectivity plays an important role in enabling the United States to achieve the Biden administration’s climate change goals. It is estimated that by 2025, the use cases supporting 5g will contribute 20% to the country’s carbon emission reduction target.

In 2025, the 5g network use case will bring the additional emission reduction of carbon dioxide equivalent (MMtCO2e) to 330.8 million tons. Equivalent to the emissions of about 72 million cars in the United States a year.

The report studied 31 use cases of 5g, involving five industry vertical fields: transportation and city, manufacturing, construction and energy, agriculture, and work, life and health. At the same time, the report deeply discusses the 5g carbon emission reduction potential of the following three vertical industries:
