# Poem: Mother Nature **Published by:** [Marriott ](https://paragraph.com/@marriott-2/) **Published on:** 2024-05-24 **URL:** https://paragraph.com/@marriott-2/poem-mother-nature ## Content Mother nature, oh mother nature. What a beauty you are. A beautiful sight to behold So fascinating and mind-blowing, your stories are untold. Your beauty is so colourful, like a piece of expensive art in an artist's gallery. Yet so free for all to access. How can I forget your beautiful gifts? The pearls and priceless stones. The mountains and valleys that stand guard around our cities. The bright lights up in the skies They brighten up our days and lights up the nights. But what have we given in return? How have we returned this love? By the blood spilled upon you daily? By the unfettered loitering of your seas and oceans? By the poaching of the beautiful animals you gave us? We toil you and peirce your body with our tools. Yet, out of your belly, you birth us foods. We desecrate, dirty, and trash your soul. Yet on your springs, we suckle like a baby upon the mother's breasts. Mother nature. Oh, mother nature. We might've been reckless in our actions. But for your mercy, we plead.
