Looking for the right broker can feel like chasing a mirage. You think you’ve found “the one” — low fees, high leverage, all your favorite markets in one place — only to realize something’s missing.
And sometimes, what’s missing has nothing to do with spreads or execution speed.
That’s exactly how my experience with Hanko Trade went.
Forex, gold, oil — all in one place. Leverage so high it felt like holding a bulldozer in my hands. Fees so low you could almost ignore them.
On paper, it was perfect.
One morning I opened the XAU/USD chart, spotted a clear support level, and took a position with leverage I wouldn’t get anywhere else. The order was executed instantly — no lags, no requotes.
Within minutes I was in profit, and the fee Hanko Trade charged was laughably small. That’s when I thought to myself: this is it.
Next came a trade on oil. WTI was hovering around resistance. I went short, again with high leverage, and the execution was instant.
The feeling of complete control over your orders is something every trader appreciates. And that’s exactly what Hanko Trade gave me.
But then came the catch.
Hanko Trade runs on MT4 and MT5. Legendary platforms, yes, but I never truly clicked with them.
The charts felt outdated, the interface looked like something from 2005. Even after customizing it — different candlestick colors, indicators, dark mode — it still didn’t feel right.
And in trading, the “feel” of your environment matters more than you think.
When you spend hours in front of charts, you need an environment that feels natural. One where every click makes sense. With MT4/5, that never happened for me.
Those small annoyances added up.
After a few weeks, I asked myself: do I really want to work every day in an environment that doesn’t feel right?
Even with the leverage and fees, the answer was no.
Walking away wasn’t easy — on paper, it was one of the best setups I’d ever had.
That doesn’t mean Hanko Trade isn’t a great broker. For someone who feels at home on MT4/5, it might be a jackpot.
Forex, commodities, high leverage, low fees — it has everything you need.
Over the years, I’ve learned that trading success isn’t just about markets or strategies. It’s also about finding tools you genuinely enjoy using every day.
Hanko Trade had almost everything. But for me, “almost” wasn’t enough.
