再看一遍电影《心灵捕手》，无意间扑捉到了一句话，“Nail them while they're vulnerable. 这是Sean出场，上课时说的话。 应老朋友邀请，Sean答应给Will做心理辅导，但 Will一直都是有防备的，Sean是如何打破Will的防备，并取得他的信任的呢？ Will心理防线的崩溃，在Sean说出“It’s not your fault”后，那是整部电影中，Will最脆弱的时候，也是在这个时候，Sean彻底取得了Will的信任，对Will进行了心灵捕获。 可以说，Nail them while they're vulnerable是Sean的终极指导思想，并且他是一步步迂回前进。从被排斥到被接受的过程中，Sean从一开始就知道Will的问题所在：一个vulnerable的孩子。Sean并不直戳人心，而是先敞开自己的心扉，谈自己的过往，这过程之中，是在等待，等待两个人慢慢接近，直到Will主动说出自己的经历，他才说出了那句具有解药性质的话：“It’s not your fault”。
