# Exploring popular cross-chain solution on zkSync Era: Meson

zkSync Era is a user-oriented zkrollup from Matter Labs. It is an Ethereum scaling solution that has been running on the Ethereum mainnet since the end of last month. It extends the security and value of Ethereum through zero-knowledge cryptography. zkSync Era is the first zkEVM to run on the mainnet, which is a huge milestone for the entire zk-rollup space.

Compared to Optimistic Rollups, zkSync allows users to bridge and withdraw faster. In just two weeks, there have already been many cross-chain projects on zkSync Era. Over 200 projects, including Chainlink, SushiSwap, Uniswap, Aave, Argent, 1inch, Gnosis, and Curve, have expressed interest in deploying on zkSync Era. For example, Meson ([https://meson.fi/](https://meson.fi/)) is a platform that provides stablecoin cross-chain interoperability, aiming to offer secure, free, and instant cross-chain exchange of stablecoins. The platform has recently launched cross-chain services on zkSync Era, providing stablecoin cross-chain services. This article will review and evaluate the zksync cross-chain bridge project through Meson.

**Preparation Before Swap**

*   You need to download a Metamask wallet in your browser. (Coinbase Wallet and Wallet Connect are also acceptable)
    
*   Open the Meson website and access it. (P.S: You can see the multi-language option on the button on the right-hand side)

*   Click on "Connect Wallet" on the right-hand side and select the familiar wallet option.

*   After logging in, you can see the source and target chains. Then, try clicking on the dropdown menu on the right. You can see up to 16 supported chains. It is evident that [Meson.fi](http://Meson.fi) has a significant advantage in the field of stablecoin cross-chain exchange. Move the mouse cursor to the bottom, and you can see the newly launched ZkSync Era (P.S: This address is prepared for reproducing operations after experiencing and testing ZkSync)

*   Click on ZkSync Era, and MetaMask will pop up a dialog box. The MetaMask wallet will prompt whether to allow adding zkSync Era mainnet. Click "Approve" to pass. Then click "Switch Network" to switch the network.

Summary:

In terms of time, the transaction was completed within 1 minute, which is really fast. Currently, there is still relatively little support for the zksync cross-chain bridge project. I am very curious about how Meson's team was able to create such an excellent application right after the mainnet launch. This also makes me look forward to the future of the zksync cross-chain bridge project, hoping that more and better applications will continue to emerge in the zk ecosystem.
