# Tutorial : Running a Farcaster Node using on Mintair

Farcaster is a decentralized social network using an open protocol for multiple clients, like email. It raised $180M in two round.

Running a node can be very complex, through Mintair setup your farcaster Nodes in just few simple steps. **_(Mandatory to have a Farcaster Account)_**

**STEP 1: Connect your wallet to Mintair**

**Step 2: Purchase a Slot**

Select your preferred plan, say it’s a 1-month plan with a rate of $49.99/month.

**Step 3: Fill the form**

Go to Active Nodes, fill the form for Farcaster with your

1.  Farcaster ID
    
2.  Optimism Mainnet RPC URL
    
3.  Ethereum Mainnet RPC URL

**Step 4: Farcaster ID & RPC URLs from Infura**

1.  Open your Warpcast, Go to your Profile, click on the three dots, and click About and copy your Farcaster ID (FID)
    
2.  To get the RPC URLs you need to have an account on [app.infura.io](https://app.infura.io)
    

Once you have the account setup, click on your API Key, go to Active Endpoints and make sure only Ethereum Mainnet and Optimism is check marked.

Click on Save Changes and then go to Active Endpoints and copy the respective RPC URLs. Paste these details on the form.

**Step 5: Submit the form**

That’s it your work is done, it could take upto 24 hours for your node to be deployed.At last once your node is deployed you can check your Infura Dashboard to check API requests which means that your node is up and running.
