# Crowdfund Block

We’re proud to have released a beta block to crowdfund writing on Mirror. Our first two experiments were a total success. [John Palmer](https://twitter.com/john_c_palmer) raised 10 ETH for his essay [_Scissor Labels_](https://j.mirror.xyz/RUeJfZEZxr-hkuzUCakQyUuf2kOJVMPPiAWBaQFhhqc), which has since be published. Just last week [Cooper](https://twitter.com/Cooopahtroopa) raised 2 ETH for [_Net Value Capture Equation_](https://coopahtroopa.mirror.xyz/b3_zJsOv8vvvJsaOKyCM-KcCeA_zEbn6K1yrmnRSK8Q), which will be published imminently. The next step is to unlock this for all Mirror writers; all in time!
