# WTF is MiyaMints?

The inaugural community project of Miyamaker, dubbed MiyaMints, was developed with the initial idea taken from this Charlotte Fang tweet soon after the $MIYA token launch.

Development was initiated by [Zodomo](https://twitter.com/0xZodomo) to build out the smart contract architecture alongside the MiyaOS frontend lead [Krauser](https://twitter.com/0xkrauser) in order to develop a useful tool for future NFT derivatives. The result culminated into a no-code solution that allows for the deployment of ERC-721M(iya)’s with custom options. Derivative NFTs can now target any NFTX pool that exists prior to launch and utilize a percentage of mint fees (between 5%-100%) to pump floor liquidity. All of this is handled via the Alignment Vault Contracts, which can be reused in numerous ways as they are only conduits for the liquidity (the ERC721M retains ownership and control of LP). MiyaMints was designed to harness the economic velocity of collection derivatives and direct it into boosting a primary collection, instead of being extractive to the greater community.

The setup wizard contains options for users to choose which NFTX liquidity pool they would like to target, what % of mint fees to dedicate and all of the standard inputs for NFT deployment (name, supply, URI, cost, etc). We have also implemented referral-based incentives so that collections can have minters market the collections for them and receive a split of the team reward for doing so.

MiyaMints allows for the permanent locking of liquidity into a target NFT collection. While the principal is locked, the rewards (or yield) can be claimed indefinitely. Given the locked nature of liquidity, anyone interacting with MiyaMints should be aware of the **permanent nature of deposits!**
