Story begin..

The once-proud Zilla Clan had been nearly obliterated by Young Mongrod, full of rage. The sky was a bruised, smoky gray, flickering with the orange glow of raging fires. Buildings crumbled, their frames crackling and hissing in the heat. Ash floated through the air like snow. The stench of burning and death hung heavy. The bodies of fallen Zilla guards were scattered like broken shields across blood-streaked stones. Children cried out for their parents, their voices thin beneath the roar of flame and destruction. Some bystanders who had joined the fight lay still, silent, gone.

Amidst the carnage, a group stood firm: the Monanimals, bruised, battered, yet unshaken. They stood in formation, facing young Mongrod, who hovered slightly above the cracked earth, energy dancing around his body. The atmosphere buzzed with dread. This was it, the final battle.

"Why do you even bother?" Young Mongrod asked, his voice cold and detached.

"You know I'm stronger. Yet you persist, knowing you could die. You're all weak."

"I bet you know what that feels like," Molandak snapped.

"Yes, I do. I was once weak," Young Mongrod said, glancing at his hands as energy surged and sparked like tiny lightning storms.

"But now, with this power... I will remake myself as the strongest being in the Monadverse. I’ll shape this world in my image."

He stepped forward, tone arrogant, eyes glowing.

"I’ll give you a chance. Join me as my elite guards, and I’ll spare your lives from the carnage to come."

"Blah blah blah," Moyaki interrupted, already sprinting forward.

"In every timeline, YOU NEVER SEEM TO SHUT THE HELL UP!!"

He tossed a smoke bomb, smothering Mongrod’s vision in thick gray clouds. Shadows shifted. Chaos erupted. The Monanimals charged.

"Quickly, find a weak point! We need to bring him down!" Molandak yelled, his beam gun lighting the smoke with each blast.

"You pesky little—!" Mongrod growled, hurling a massive boulder. But it phased through what wasn’t Molandak. It was an illusion painted by Chog.

"Gotcha!" Chog grinned, dashing forward with his massive paintbrush.

Above, Mouch hurled blades with deadly precision. Mongrod raised an electric shield. Most deflected, but one slipped through, slicing his cheek. A red line bloomed.

He touched his face. Blood.

Smoke blinded him. Attacks came from every direction. The air trembled, alive with movement, darting shadows, crashing blows, and flickering blasts.

"ARGHHH! ENOUGH!"

Mongrod clapped his hands, releasing a concussive shockwave that cleared the smoke and flung the Monanimals into trees and rubble.

He soared into the air.

Molandak, barely conscious, opened one eye just as Mongrod came plummeting toward him.

Suddenly, Salmonad leaped in the way. His shield flared, absorbing the crushing impact.

"Alright, that’s it!" Salmonad barked, pissed.

"You think you’re the only genius who got bullied? Boo-hoo. You’re not special. I was bullied. I was smacked around. But I’m not out there committing genocide."

Salmonad's fury sparked across the shield.

"Don’t mistake my leniency for weakness."

Quickly, Salmonad slammed a button on his watch. His shield shimmered and expanded. Mechanical limbs whirred and folded out, wrapping around him as his armor transformed into a towering mecha suit.

Young Mongrod blinked, startled.

"Why don’t you pick on someone your own size?" Salmonad smirked inside the suit.

BOOM!💥

A seismic punch sent Mongrod flying through walls like tissue paper.

"Quick!" Salmonad shouted. "Here’s the plan. We hold him off while the trap charges. Same one we used on Future Mongrod. Got it?"

He tossed the time device to the team.

But from the crater, a brilliant blast exploded. Mongrod charged forward, slamming into Salmonad with full force and knocking him through a tree.

The device wasn’t ready. The Monanimals scrambled.

Molandak, coughing and bruised, rose shakily.

"If we can’t beat the corruption out of him... maybe we can talk him down."

He staggered forward, toward the chaos. Mongrod loomed over Salmonad, hammering down on the cracking mecha suit.

"MONGROD!" Molandak cried.

"Look around you. This destruction… this isn’t who you are."

Mongrod paused, but his glare was sharp.

"You think some sentimental speech will change what I’ve become?" he spat."This power made me more than I ever was. You weren’t there when they laughed at me. When they destroyed everything I created."

"You’ve been corrupted by the Orb," Molandak pressed."You were a creator. You tried to fix what was broken. Maybe you didn’t always succeed, but you tried. This path isn't what you set out for."

Mongrod hesitated. His hands trembled.

In the distance, a small child cried beside the limp bodies of their parents.

"You did all this," Molandak said softly."And you’ll do more unless you fight the Orb’s control."

"I believe there’s still good in you. Please, use this power to build, not destroy. Make sure what happened to you doesn’t happen to another kid. Be the guardian you never had."

Mongrod’s eyes flickered. Flashes from his past burst through his mind. The laughter. The beatings. His broken creations.

And then, a tender memory.

His guardian knelt beside him, wiping mud from his bloodied face.

Don’t give up on your dreams, young one. One day, you’ll save the clan with your inventions. Just don’t give up on yourself or them.

The present blurred.

A low hum suddenly vibrated the air. Everyone tensed, pulled from the moment.

Something was wrong.

A portal opened with a deafening

VOOM!!!

Everyone stepped back, weapons raised at what was about to step out of the portal.

……….

From the rift emerged Future Mongrod, eyes glowing, scars crawling across his face like black lightning. Power radiated from him like a storm.

"YOU CANNOT STOP THE INEVITABLE," he roared.

A lone surviving Zilla guard charged at him, only to be vaporized in an instant by a flick of his hand.

"No!" Molandak screamed.

"Oh yes," Future Mongrod hissed, raising a hand toward him.

"It’s time for you to die, Molandak."

But before he could fire, young Mongrod tackled him, locking him in a brutal chokehold.

"What are you doing?" "Get off me, stupid!" Future Mongrod thrashed.

"You were right, Molandak," young Mongrod growled through gritted teeth.

"Get your friends and the survivors out. I’ll stop this madness once and for all."

"How?"

"By overloading my Orb while absorbing his."

"But that’ll kill you."

Young Mongrod’s eyes burned with resolve.

"I guess that’s one way to make up for all the harm I’ve caused. Now go."

Power swirled as energy from both Mongrods collided in chaotic spirals. The sky trembled.

"You fool!" Future Mongrod screamed.

"You could’ve had everything! Let me go!"

"No," young Mongrod whispered.

"This isn’t what I wanted to become. Only I can change this future."

They began to rise, floating, energy blinding. Young Mongrod locked eyes with his future self.

"Now be gone."

The explosion that followed tore the sky apart. The Monanimals ran as a massive blast wave swept through the jungle, Molandak carrying Salmonad as trees shattered behind them.

### **Days Later**

Inside Moyaki’s pub, the Monanimals gathered again. Wounds still raw, but spirits patched.

"So what now?" Chog asked.

Molandak smiled faintly.

"I think it’s time to go home. To see what future we’ve shaped."

"We’ll miss our fearless leader," Moyaki grinned, raising his cup.

"To the future."

"To the future," they all echoed.

Under the Great Elder Tree, the wind rustled softly.

Salmonad handed Molandak a small device.

"This’ll take you home. We’ll meet again. Might be older versions of us, but someday."

"Thank you, Salmonad," Molandak said warmly.

"You’ve been the smartest, kindest person I’ve ever met."

He turned to his friends.

"Mouch. Loyal to the core. You've always had my back."

Mouch nodded quietly.

"Moyaki. Brave beyond reason. I respect you."

Moyaki grinned.

"Chog. You never looked the part, but you turned out stronger than any of us. And funnier too. Thanks for the laughs when I needed them most."

Silence. A mix of pride, sorrow, and peace.

"It’s been an honor," Molandak said.

"But it’s time to go home."

“Goodbye, my friends,” he said, stepping through the portal.

### **...Molandak arrives into the future.**

The future greeted him with hope.

No, wait.

Not hope.

Sand?

Molandak found himself within an endless desert stretched in all directions. Wind howled, kicking up dust. The sun beat down mercilessly. Gas hung thick in the air, sharp and bitter. Ruins of some once-grand jungle city poked from the dunes like bones.

Molandak coughed and staggered forward, squinting.

In the distance, a war wagon sped across the sand, wheels grinding over cracked earth. Spikes and Monanimal skulls adorned its frame. Armed Monanimals in leather jackets and gas masks jumped down, guns raised.

Molandak raised his arms. “Heii! Heiiii! It’s me, I’m back!!”

They opened fire……

Molandak darted, heart pounding, sand flying at every step. Suddenly a hand yanked him into the dunes.

"Shhh," said a voice in the dark.

Dust settled above. Molandak’s mouth was covered. They waited as boots passed overhead.

Then a flicker. An old match lit a dusty lantern.

The glow revealed the face of his savior.

Aged. Wrinkled.

But unmistakable.

"...Chog?"

**Final note:** Overall, this was a really fun mini project. We enjoyed writing these stories, designing the art for them, and convincing other projects to join with us. We thank Scalds and Kichalu for sticking with us till the very end and working along this project. Gmopo and look forward to more fun campaigns with y’all.
