# #22 - Building something you’re proud of.

This past week, things have been a bit slower on the client side — which gave me time to focus on something I’ve wanted to work on for a while:

**Branding.**

Specifically, I’ve been working on new logos, colors, and websites for both:

*   **Gilje Group AS** (my holding company)
    
*   **Gilje & Co** (my consulting business - part of Gilje Group)
    

That’s the beauty of running your own thing — sometimes you get to just sit on your computer and make things _look_ and _feel_ the way you want. At least I enjoy it.

I had a great conversation with Henrik (my former co-founder from Vivvoe) last week. We reminisced about the good old days and talked about how much **branding matters** — not just for the world, but for YOU - the _founder_.

When your brand feels good, something inside _clicks_.  
You’re more confident. More energized. More **proud**.

And _being proud_ is underrated.

I see many business gurus say:

> “Forget the logo. Forget the website. Focus on sales. Don’t major in minor things.”

And I agree…  
But when it comes to your **own brand**, make it something you _love_. Something you _want_ to share. Spend some time on it. You then use this proud feeling and take it with you into meetings and the work you do - and trust me, people can tell when you are passionate about something.

When we rebranded Vivvoe — new logo, unique colors, clean website — it gave us momentum.  
We felt like a real brand. We showed it to everyone. And things started growing fast.

I went through my old photos and found a few nice ones from the early Vivvoe days:

So now, I’m doing the same for my new business. And with that I also want to relaunch _myself_.

I want to build a recognizable brand for my business, but also start being more active with my own personal brand.

I know the positive effect of this...

While I was building my marketing agency Funnel Media back in 19´, 20´& 21´ - I was very active on social media on both my personal accounts and business accounts. And this lead to opportunities I would never get unless I posted valuable content.  
  
One that attracts the right people.  
One I’m proud to share.

But I would not do this if I was not proud of what I was building - and the easiest way to get this feeling, is by seing something visually - so yes, you brand is IMPORTANT.

### Quick reminder for you

If you’ve been sitting on a side project, an offer, a business idea — maybe the best thing you can do this week is just **make it feel real**.

Play with the visuals. Make the landing page. Choose colors that hit.

I build all my websites on [Lovable](https://lovable.dev/?via=morten) (you just explain what you want, upload examples of things you like - and the AI does the coding for you. Also easy to host with your own domain). Try it!

And for logos, brand colors and styling - I just use Canva pro plan.

It’s not about perfection. It’s about **ownership**.

*   And **3 nice things** for yourself ❤
