# Telegram Allows to Buy/Sell Usernames

For the first time in the history of web2 social media, Telegram introduced the ability to buy and sell short and recognizable @usernames for personal accounts, and public groups/channels. With this new feature, Telegram users now have full ownership of their usernames.
