The popular sectors were selected from historical data. These sectors are technology, health care, and daily necessities. I also included in the PF something that doesn't move with stocks when they are falling, and that is gold. If you use the Portfolio Visualizer to set these in the proportions you prefer, you will be able to exceed VOO's performance.
