# Documenting my journey

Some years ago, I heard of bitcoin, Ethereum, and Ripple.

They were traded, and their prices went up and down. At that time I was just getting exposed to stocks and the stock market. So what did I do? I dismissed it as something similar to stocks.

They are similar to stocks of companies traded on the exchange. And I continued my journey learning stocks. I’m an expert on neither today.

I am more comfortable writing and talking about stocks obviously and this is my journey to learning about web3 and crypto.

In the last 2 weeks, I’ve gone knee-deep learning the meaning of terms: web3, NFT, tokens, blockchain, gas fee, DOAs, and it is getting interesting. There is still a lot to learn, and I’m just getting started. I’d be writing more [here](https://mirror.xyz) about what I’m learning.
