# A Videographers Guide 🎥

To ensure high-quality:

*   A professional-grade camera with 4K capabilities
    
*   A stabilizer or tripod to ensure smooth footage
    
*   Microphone (if recording voices)
    

🎥 Shoot
--------

**Audio + Light**

*   Don’t worry about recording audio if you’ll add a soundtrack
    
*   If you intend to record people, use a microphone (**Important**!)
    
*   Record lots of 5 to 10 second observation shots
    
*   Avoid harsh or direct light that cast shadows or overexpose the subject
    
*   Seek **all-around** ambient light sources to enhance the visual appeal - but do not ask the venue to switch on extra lights.
    

**Composition**

*   Take observational and atmospheric shots of the venue, decorations and panoramas
    
*   Take some close-up shots of conversations and interactions between participants to provide depth.
    
*   Use different locations, angles and movements for variety

*   **0 to 0.03** → Video intro
    
*   **0.03 to 0.04** → Logo fades in
    
    *   Logo is 416px or 20% wide and centred
        
*   **0.04 to 0.06** → Text _\[City below logo, day of the week below that ·_[**_example_**](https://postimg.cc/cKKv5XYZ)_· \]_
    
    *   Fade in, horizontaly centered
        
*   **0.07 to 0.07** → Logo + Text disappears (no transition)

*   **\-0.03 to -0.02** → Logo fades in over footage or a black background

👌 Final Touch
--------------

Before submitting your reel:

*   Add a soundtrack that complements the mood.
    
*   Use color correction to balance the lighting and color of the footage.
    
*   Submit your reel within 36 hours to the Embassy on Telegram
