# Dark Forest Conduits

I align with the reasoning behind Dark Forest theory and see it happening. I think the pendulum is going to shift in this direction and we have a long way to go before it shifts back - like years - if not decades. While these smaller scenes are less corruptible - they do miss out on serving humanity as a whole in that - knowledge gets siloed. There is likely going to be desire - and reward - for entities that can move additive knowledge from forest to forest. While this problem was initially solved by tech - tech can no longer be trusted. Which opens the space for the role of Dark Forest Conduit A Dark Forest Conduit's function is not to connect dark forests - that's dangerous - dark forests don't want to be seen - don't want their location shared or their knowledge identifiable - but to move knowledge from forest to forest in a clean and additive way. Romantically it's kinda like Bards in the old days - moving from town to town - sharing stories through song and entertainment - while there was status for the bard in being able to hold the attention of an audience - there was net benefit to the town in that they had perspectives changed by the information - and also they just loved the entertainment. This is a super nascent idea but I wanted to get it down today - will be coming back to it.
