# NFT Customization Tutorial By [MYPUNKS](https://paragraph.com/@mypunks) · 2022-03-17 --- Once you’ve got your face and items, you are able to **create your own unique NFT** that best represents who your are in the metaverse via MYPUNKS app. It is **required to have both face and items to do the customization**. The Face collections are sold out, and you will be able to get on on the secondary market (OpenSea, LooksRare, etc.) The Item collections are still on Public Sale, you can mint 1-10 items within a transaction with the optimized gas fee ($3-$15) in [MYPUNKS Mint](https://mypunks.xyz/app/mint). **You will be able to check all the combinations** that community made on OpenSea by using the filter on the left. ![Combinations on OpenSea](https://storage.googleapis.com/papyrus_images/6cf034bd25e1da8e89043e2b1373f90f90427cc860c3546dc25e7feb35b36cba.png) Combinations on OpenSea ### Tutorial Structure 1. Equip Items to the Face 2. Remove Items from the Face 3. Rename Face * * * Equip Items to the Face ======================= You will be able to see your face and items in [MYPUNKS Inventory](https://mypunks.xyz/app). The following steps will guide you for the whole customization experience. ### 1\. You need to select the face that you want to put the items on. You can switch to other faces as well. ### 4\. You can then re-open the item selector and select another one. **You are able to equip 7 items per transaction at maximum**. **Only one item can be equipped in a specific part**. For instance, if you have selected a “Top - Half Shaved Hair”. Then when you select the “Top - Orange Headband,” it will replace the hair because they belong to the same part. **Conflicting items can not be equipped until you remove them from the face**. For example, if you already have a hair on your face, you can not equip another hair or any item that belongs to the TOP part. ### 5\. You will able to **delete the item selected by clicking the the thumbnails**. As you can see the Headband was positioned above the Headphones. To make it look better, we can adjust the layers to put the headband under the Headphones. Notice & Confirm Transaction ![Notice](https://storage.googleapis.com/papyrus_images/ddeea719c6a7e50e0764e991fbf6b8fbbaa5f87a5ece025397421936602b8787.png) Notice Please read the notice before you proceed. **Your items will be temporarily locked into your face and you won’t be able to see it in your wallet until you’ve removed them from the face**. You won’t lose your item. Equip can be described as a process of staking theitem to the contract and Remove can be described as a process of unstaking. Your First Customized Punk ![Customized Punks](https://storage.googleapis.com/papyrus_images/7ded53670c7dbdd2c28412293d5a98560963df25e8f9d311154fd36bd8cf19d4.png) Customized Punks After the transaction goes through (around 5-15s), you will see a modal like this to show your newly customized punk. This will update your face metadata and will also **update on the secondary marketplace (OpenSea, etc.) in a few seconds.** ### Something to Keep In Mind. Important!! 1. **Don’t put the items onto the face that is currently listed for sale on the OpenSea. Doing so the buyer will be able to buy the whole combination INCLUDING the items without a notice. If you want to make combination, delist the face first from the OpenSea.** 2. You can list the whole combination for sale with the items. Buyers will be able to purchase the whole combination and take off the items to use them on other faces. Please be aware of the listing price. 3. If you believe that you’ve equipped your items onto the face but the image does not change on OpenSea, please click “Refresh Metadata” on the item page. If the issue persists, you may open a ticket in our discord and have our stuff to help you. * * * Remove Items from the Face ========================== The process is basically the same as equipping and should be explanatory. You can remove multiple items within one transaction as well. ### 1\. You can select one item a time, preview and then select another. You will be able to remove 7 items at maximum per transaction. ### 4\. If you’re satisfy with the removal, then you can click “Confirm” to proceed. The process is pretty much the same as item equipment. ### 5\. These icons have different functionalities as explained in the screenshot above. **You can have a customized name for your face** (to be more personal and unique, right?). The name is stored on-chain and you will pay a nominal amount of gas fee (maybe $1-$5) to set the name and you can change whenever you want. Click Rename and you will be able to set the name.
