# Mytho Layer Arena Testnet Results By [Mytho](https://paragraph.com/@mytho) · 2025-07-29 --- We recently completed a targeted testnet focused on the new Mytho functionality, and we’re tremendously grateful to everyone who joined and helped shape the platform. Over the course of the testnet, we collected a wealth of actionable feedback and have already begun prioritizing and implementing many of the suggested improvements. Grouped Feedback by Area of Concern ----------------------------------- Below we’ve organized all collected comments into categories based on the aspects of the platform that users found most challenging: **Platform Complexity & Learnability** > Users report that the platform feels overly complex, with unfamiliar language and an unintuitive dashboard. They ask for simpler processes, more familiar terminology, and a friendlier interface. * “complicated but good” * “Simplify the process, I can't understand why some buttons are not available to select.” * “Instead of using new, complex terms, I think it would be better to stick with familiar existing terms that users are comfortable with.” * “The dashboard is not user friendly it is not easy to understand” * “if possible make it simplier” **Terminology & Concept Clarity** > Users find terms like “layer,” “totem,” and the boosting/donation mechanics confusing. They want straightforward language and clear explanations of how features work. * “The boosting mechanism is a bit unclear—it would help to have more transparency on how boosting affects content visibility.” * “Difficult to follow on how to boost and support projects” * “The project idea seems good, but terms like ‘totem’ and ‘layer’ feel unfamiliar and complex. It would be great to have a feature that lets me view the totems and tokens I've joined.” **Asset & Portfolio Visibility** > Users want a clear overview of their holdings—both token balances and fiat-equivalent values—so they can track assets without external tools. * “I have bought some tokens how to see my tokens if I want to sell them” * “Good, it's very easy to create transaction tokens, it's also very fast, hopefully in the future there will be additional asset overview features.” * “Please add an asset feature so I can see the assets I purchased and the total assets in USD.” * “Maybe if there is an additional asset overview” **Documentation & Onboarding** > Users feel lost without concise guidance or explanations of core concepts. They request brief tutorials, clear value propositions, and in-app onboarding to reduce reliance on long external docs. * “Look nice but i do not really see, without reading the lloooonnnnnnggggg wiki (remember time is money), what it can bring me as a user and as a totem” * “So far so good. Received some questions about the boost and donate system during our campaign (AD). So it's important to explain the concept behind. Let us see how it works on mainnet. Not sure if people will really donate on mainnet.” * “I'm lost, what should I do on the plateform?? => create short tutorial video showing various functionalities of the plateforme for regular user and for Totem creator in order to show the range of possibility of Mytho” * “Provide more detailed documentation or onboarding material to explain how Layers and the Totem system work.” **Performance & Reliability** Users experience lag, delayed error messages, and sluggish rendering, which undermines trust and smooth use. They ask for faster load times and more reliable feedback. * “The web often delays errors, please fix it to make it more comfortable.” * “Improve performance when rendering many Layers—currently a bit sluggish on certain browsers.” * “The website often delays loading, please fix it.” **Interactive Feedback & Transaction Awareness** Users need immediate, clear confirmations and cost transparency during key actions like publishing, boosting, and donating. They suggest notifications and gas-fee estimates. * “The Layer publishing process sometimes feels slow or lacks clear feedback after a successful transaction.” * “Add real-time notifications after key actions such as Layer publishing, boosting, or receiving donations.” * “Show gas fee estimates during actions to make users more aware of the transaction costs, even on testnet.” \*\*Content Discovery & Sharing \*\* Users request better ways to find and share content across communities—through categories, tags, cross-totem feeds, and social-sharing metadata. * “Implement content discovery features like categories or tags to help users find interesting Layers more easily.” * “Cross content sharing. Most boosted Layers over all Totems. So you can see best content from other totems. Add opengraph data for sharing layers on socials.” \*\*Trust & Verification \*\* Users can’t distinguish official Totems from community-created ones and request verifiable badges or labels to build trust. * “Right now, it's hard to tell whether a Totem was created by the official team or just by a community member. There's no clear way to verify who's behind a Totem.
