It encourages diverse perspectives, allowing for both figurative representations and abstract explorations, whether depicting lands or landscapes, and literal or quite metamorphic meanings. The term "Pixel" in the theme doesn't strictly imply a deconstruction into 8-bit pixels. Instead, it signifies the fundamental building blocks of every raster image — pixels — whether visible or seamlessly merging into our perception. As a collective of artists with a diverse array of distinctive styles and digital techniques, the Pixel Lands project is, for us, a creative playground for individualized interpretations. Each artist brings their unique perspective, contributing to a collective exploration of this versatile theme.Screenshot of Pixel Lands World on FoundationWhy Foundation?Driven by a passion for exploring various blockchain ecosystems and marketplaces, we are now entering the Foundation (Ethereum based) marketplace. While all our artists are familiar with Foundation and have individually minted there before, this marks the debut of N3XTWAVE as a collective on this platform. We've chosen Foundation for its vibrant art market and the community surrounding it. We used Foundation's World feature to create Pixel Lands World, seamlessly organizing all the pieces in this release into a cohesive collection.Who’s N3XTWAVE (again)?N3XTWAVE is an art collective consisting of artists based in Europe, brought together by artist Bleu281 in June 2023, with the initial goal of organizing physical exhibitions locally. Currently, however, the Collective is focused on Web3-based projects, exploring the blockchain, various NFT marketplaces, and enjoying developing art events and collaborations. So far, our biggest events have been WAVE - our inaugural drop, and more recently, BRIDGE - a project where we invited the NewtroArts Collective to participate. As of now, N3XTWAVE is 15 artists located in countries including France, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, Spain, UK, Ireland, and Russia. While some of us originate from distant continents and countries, all currently reside in Europe.PIXEL LANDS Participants & the CollectionThe PIXEL LANDS collection highlights artists from various generations, backgrounds, styles, and regions. Each artist brings their unique style presenting their individual interpretation of the theme. Consequently, the PIXEL LANDS series emerges as a diverse and versatile body of work, displaying a broad spectrum of techniques and aesthetics. This diversity makes it appealing to a wide audience and ensures that there is something for everyone to connect with, creating a rich and inclusive artistic experience.
