There's been a lot of debate on royalties:

so I wanted to share some data from an artist perspective.

The Data
--------

As an artist with 3 big projects, I earned good royalties in 2022.

Guess what happened early 2023 ? (hint: it starts with opensea and ends with no royalties)

I have 3 major projects:

*   Entropy: Sep 2022
    
*   TPIAR: Jan 2023
    
*   Bit Rot: Nov 2023

Bit Rot earned nearly double the revenue but 10x fewer royalties.

What's next ?
-------------

Where does that lead us?

*   Royalties don't really exist anymore (for Editions)
    
*   They are considered "tax" by many collectors
    

my decision is clear.

**I will keep 30 editions as Royalties replacement (to sell as needed)**

and

**Zima will be a 0% royalties project.**
