The topics discussed in these proposals range from adding new tokens, governance process improvements, bridges between networks, and requests for funding. Starting with Aave, they discussed a proposal to reward a bug bounty contributor who identified a potential risk on the REN asset. The reward proposed was 20 AAVE tokens for their assistance. Stargate DAO discussed a proposal to sell $2,000,000 worth of STG tokens at a market price for USDC. This transaction would reduce STG emissions by $100,000 per year and increase Stargate's permanent liquidity. Bankless DAO proposed an election for the Grants Committee of BanklessDAO. There are four seats available in the committee, and 3 candidates up for election. The voting system that will be used is called "weighted voting". Frax discussed two proposals. The first one was about deploying a Fraxferry between the Ethereum Mainnet and the Moonriver blockchain. The second one was about deploying a Fraxferry between Ethereum Mainnet and Arbitrum that would allow FXS token to be exchanged easily. 1inch Network discussed two proposals as well. The first one was about modifying 1inch Fusion to allow all five of the top resolvers to participate in every stage of the Dutch auction, which should result in improved swap rates and faster execution times for users. The second one was about shortening the governance process from 12 days to 8 days. ENS proposed for two funding requests for Q1/Q2 2023. The first funding request was for the ENS Ecosystem Working Group and the second one for MetaGovernance Working Group. In addition to that, there was also a funding request for the Public Goods Working Group. Frax: The proposal by Frax DAO is to implement a ragequit function for their FAX/mUSD liquidity pool with a 10% fee. This would give them more flexibility and freedom in managing their capital while also ensuring that the underlying protocol is not affected by significant risk. Balancer DAO: The proposal by Karpatkey is to bridge certain assets back to Mainnet from Polygon and Arbitrum, and transfer approximately $5.9 million worth of assets to a new SAFE owned by the Balancer DAO. This would simplify operations for the Balancer DAO since their treasury manager has already been voted in. Angle DAO: The proposal is to change the Angle strategy for USDC and DAI by introducing an automated yield optimization feature. This could potentially increase protocol revenues by up to 50%, resulting in higher rewards for SLP holders and veANGLE holders. Hop: The proposal is to integrate the Hop protocol with the ConsenSys zkEVM in order to allow for seamless bridging between various chains in the Ethereum ecosystem. This would drive up demand for bridging and make it beneficial for both of them. Uniswap DAO: This Temperature Check is to determine which bridge should be used for cross-chain governance messaging between Ethereum and BNB Chain. The four bridges being voted on are deBridge, Celer, Wormhole and LayerZero. Overall, these proposals aim to improve the DAO governance systems by introducing new tokens, increasing liquidity, shortening the governance process, and providing funding to support initiatives. These proposals are all feasible and have the potential to benefit the relevant protocols in the long run. As we can see, there is a common theme of bridging and interoperability across multiple projects, as well as yield optimization. If approved, these changes should positively influence the DAOs in the long run.
