Firstly, the Powerbadge is a small purple badge next to your name.
Benefits as mentioned:
Rank higher in search results.
Cast in exclusive Power badge rooms.
Increase the chance to be featured under "someone to follow" on the right side.
Personally, having the badge hasn't made my life much different from my friends' 😂, but it's probably better to have it than not. Let's look at the rules to get the badge.
Earning the badge comes from a complex (and undisclosed) algorithm, not manual selection.
✅ Badges are distributed every Tuesday at 12:00 UTC.
🫠 Badges can be revoked if you don't use Warpcast properly.
Rules:
Use Farcaster/Warpcast regularly, several times a week.
Post content that power users and other users would like.
Don't post spam.
Don't post in the wrong rooms or get reported.
Contribute to the "network" (it's unclear how this works).
❌ Avoid posting spam. Post only interesting content.
Now, even though many friends are very active, they still aren't power users. Here are my thoughts and the direction you should take:
✅ If you're playing degen/fomo and posting too frequently, try posting less often and focus more on quality.
✅ Post in international rooms to increase your chances of getting likes from multiple Power badge holders from different countries.
Meme and food rooms are good places to create international content, as people tend to like posts there already.
