# OP retroPGF3 research - which way should I go?

Many people are planning to dive into @Optimism retroPGF. @retrolistapp for creating a very impressive dashboard. Here's my research on how each category is doing. We can see that there are many subcategories. 🔵 Blue got the most funding. 🟢 🟠 🔴 💔 ⚫️ black with 0 OP.In red circle, the most challenging competition with the lowest returns is Evangelism & User Onboarding. It got 2m OP out of a total of 30M OP, which is 6%. Even though there are 472 registrations out of a total of 643 it's the category with the most people and the least reward.content work receiving less focus from Optimism compared to dev work. The number of badgeholders tends to lean towards dev, making life more challenging for content folks. But it's understandable given the nature of a software lead organization. 😅 https://web3.gadgeteer.in.th/retropgf3-4-badgeholder-distribution On the flip side, the part that exerts effort and yields high returns is where I've circled in green. You can see blue 🔵 and green 🟢 segments Dev work excels in the sense that, once the project is completed, there's maintenance and service. It can also scale easily.Top projects are software, which is reasonable btw.If you're not a developer but want to avoid the red ocean, consider exploring the blue area. For example, in fields like analytics research, it may require some time to learn, but I believe it's achievable, and there is room for growth.@retrolistapp is a creation from @Chomtana the incredibly talented Thai individual. The longer it lasts, the stronger the branding, making it even harder for new competitors to enter. That's about it!
