# Optimism airdrop 4 - Smart move to acquire creators

At first, I thought @Optimism was very little, but when I woke up, I saw that artists got quite good amount, so I'm really happy for them. ✅ This is a way to reward artists like no one has ever done before. While reading the details of airdrop 4, there are several interesting points I think I should highlight. Hopefully, it can somewhat heal the broken-hearted from this round 4.What do artists get?What does Superchain get?What’s next?First off, this round only used up 0.02%.This airdrop didn't randomly throw 5% of the total supply to developers. OP still has a remaining airdrop quota of 560 million, which equates to 13% of the total supply 💰💰💰(Arbitrum airdropped 11.6% of the total supply) This implies that there are further long-term plans in place to increase the value of the OP superchain in the long run.Rewarding creatorsJust like how rewarding users is important, rewarding artists also makes the OP superchain more appealing to artists. This OP Airdrop 4 serves as a reward for artists and inspires many, which aligns with the fact that Superchain has numerous leading NFT dapps.✅ With Zora raising $60m✅ Sound with $25m✅ And Manifold being invested in by a16z, Superchain is now ready to become a significant NFT hub in the upcoming Bull run.It's not merely about minting NFTs for an airdrop. It involves counting only the gas for transferring, excluding the minter's address. Thus, spammers will receive nothing. 🎨 This implies that the reward is directed towards genuine artists with recognition. Many artists have never received rewards from any chain before. And this serves as a reward for a full 365 days of impact. (Jan 10, 2023 - Jan 10, 2024) ✅ Many artists are truly delighted.What does OP superchain get?Sending OP to creators allows friends to participate in governance. This expands Superchain's user base with new groups in the long run. ✅ If we were to guess, soon we might see delegators emerging from NFT artists, pooling voting power together. Instead of just being developers or traditional airdrop influencers. 👀 I believe OP will be where artists who haven't yet used blockchain will showcase their work this round.We can consider using 0.02% of the total supply of OP as a very clever kickstart.It attracts artists and collectors.Boosts the value and branding of Superchain.What's next in the future?Even though I hardly received an OP airdrop 4, from the perspective of a long-term holder who isn't rushing to sell elsewhere, I believe Superchain is intentionally developing. 👀 It's specified that airdrop 4 is the "first" airdrop of Superchain including Zora, Base, ETH, and OP mainnet.I would guess that from airdrop 3, which rewarded governance, friends might have held onto their OP tokens and not sold when the price was low. They likely continued to delegate and perform transactions regularly. However, if we can’t airdrop to delegates every time, there must be continuous changes in strategy. In the future, we might see new criteria that may not be the same, which will benefit the chain in the long term for sure. 👉 Personally, I will continue to focus on delegating and using Superchain. OP Airdrops have never been the same. 1 - ETH users 2 - OP users (gas rebate) 3 - Delegators 4 - Artists & Creators For friends who have delegated but haven't received yet, I think it might have an impact in future rounds. **Since airdrop 3, we've been delegating for about 5 months now. If we compare that to artists who have been waiting for years, we might have to wait even longer 😅 Right now, friends might profit from price appreciation based on the value of the chain, similar to stock growth.
