I'm not sure about the technical aspect, but I think many people might want to disable the default option to increase privacy. ✅ We use it every day, so no need to panic though. You can reduce permissions as follows: Go to Metamask > Settings & Privacy > Privacy. The top one, Phishing detection, seems like it can be left on. Turn off all the additional options: Show balance and token price checker Show incoming transactions Autodetect tokens Batch account balance requests Participate in Metametrics Disclaimer: I'm not proficient in this area. Anyone with additional knowledge is welcome to share. This is shared in case friends might want to have more privacy. ✅ It's used every day, so no need to panic, huh.
