The article is organized into three parts: » Team Announcement: Our vision on GameFi development. » Project Progress: Our current development ecology. » Industry Update: Monthly highlights of the observations. DEAR CAPTAINS GameFi is immensely popular at the moment with the total market value of project tokens exceeding 34 billion U.S. dollars. In spite of this, even the most deeply involved players are not confident in the future outlook, and most think the current tokenomic is unsustainable. The fundamental issue lies within the design and ideology of GameFi; everyone is taking an unsustainable approach, and there are currently TWO core problems: Negative-sum Game Token Models. An answer has not been found to designing a functioning token model that is sustainable while incentivizing the community to focus on the long-term prospects of a project. History does not repeat itself but often rhymes. The 2018 article “The Death of FCoin: A Tale of Bad Token Design” tells the story of how trade2Earn helped Fcoin rapidly acquire new users but subsequently collapsed just as fast. A negative-sum game token model causes rational users to sell tokens immediately after receiving the token rewards as long as the value of the tokens sold are higher than the transaction fee each time the process is replicated. This will break the price support of the token, thereby destroying the entire token system. One-Dimensional Game Objective. In GameFI, players always aim to complete monotonous and linear goals that are uninspiring and dull. Every time the game goal is completed, the crypto game developer adds new but repeated game goals. But when the player falls into a boring repetition, the player will leave the game. The core problem is the fragile trust between the crypto game developers and players. When the tokenomic of the game is unstable or there is a crisis, the crypto game developers will forcefully add new content or even change the previous game rules. This fundamentally antagonistic relationship between the two sides, leading to an unhealthy community and unproductive environment that will destroy the entire system The industry desperately needs a new set of guiding philosophies as well as viable solutions to fix these issues and establish quality standards for crypto games moving forward. The following is our vision on how to make it a reality. Positive-sum game token models. We believe implementing this will solve some major problems in the industry, and we list two similar token models for reference. The first is Curve, a token model with lock-up mechanisms in place that provide both voting and financial incentives. The more tokens you purchase and put in lock-up, the more voting rights and profits you will obtain. The second is Polkadot, which utilizes leasing functions instead of the direct sale of asset ownership in the system. This model doles out benefits to participants in the system and encourages them to take part in the long-term development of the system. Dynamic game objectives. Instead of telling players what to do, why not allow them to choose themselves? Whether you want to be an architect of a certain system or a brick-moving worker, players should be able to choose their path and follow their calling. Going along with this concept, people may even choose to act as a monster that plunders items from other players. With this kind of dynamism introduced to the game, objectives, and goals are no longer one-dimensional and singular, they take on a life of their own and become fluid, often automatically rebalancing based on player interaction and input. Players become immersed in the game with excitement rather than performing monotonous daily, weekly, or monthly quests that are tedious and dull just to bank profits. The exploration and discovery of a viable new standard is challenging. It is not limited to possessing knowledge of mathematics, game theory, economics, etc., it also requires the capacity to simulate and verify the token model. On top of all this, a token engineer’s ideologies are of the utmost importance as factors such as the ethics of a token engineer or their attitude towards creating a sustainable crypto ecosystem can make or break a project. Any and all are welcome to communicate with us in the NASH Metaverse community. Discord | Telegram PROJECT DEVELOPMENT Everything went according to plan this month. Creating an original crypto game from 0 to 1 is quite the challenge. There are many salient factors at play including original planning, visual interaction, code architecture, and mechanism design. This means you need an enthusiastic team with a clear vision and unwavering devotion to the project, and we have that team; a team that endlessly pursues excellence, clarity, and conciseness. We are also eager for top professionals to join our team, so if you are interested in participating in our revolution, please feel free to contact us at recruite@nashhash.io 💫 R&D Based on the star map from last month, we have improved iterative interaction and visuals while optimizing the details of the visual design specification. Work has also been done to improve the collaborative process of research and development, so as to produce higher quality games more efficiently. 🌌 Market Ø From November 1st to November 12th, the NASH Metaverse project gained Twitter exposure through launching our product concept. INDUSTRY UPDATE ⚡️ WolfGame:Game theory + DeFi + NFT ⚡️ The combination of game theory and game content is a point we would like to hone in on. Game theory provides players with multiple and dynamic game goals, which is the direction future crypto games are heading towards. Through the design of dynamic game theory ideas, player goals and needs will dynamically shift and adjust accordingly to player behavior, allowing a unique and tailored experience for each player that enables them to pursue dynamic in-game objectives. This is what we believe is the necessary path towards creating an “infinite game.” EVE is the quintessential example of a game that applies traditional game theory. The game uses complex rules to create a complex society, which in turn makes the creation of history on a grand scale possible. Most games have one-dimensional objectives and rules where players play by the rules set forth by the developers. EVE takes a different approach, allowing players to determine what rules they want to play by while not only witnessing a piece of history but participating in it as well. There are always powerful stories that accompany the creation of history, and the stories created by the player are the most attractive part of a game. The application of game theory internally regarding the design of crypto games has just begun. WolfGame is a pure on-chain game that combines NFT and DeFi with in-game earning and game theory dynamics, with everything revolving around a “wolf versus sheep” themed game. As the community grows, concise MVP products continue to introduce more in-depth content, bringing complex and deeper game strategies and in-game metas. This resulted in the game carving out its own path and evolved into an on-chain civilization as a result of the complexity. We have always believed that a great crypto game designer needs to be a good mathematician and researcher first and foremost. ⚡️ AI Arena:AIGC and Crypto-Native ⚡️ The core problem within the traditional game industry has been the limited supply of game content. Content production speed cannot keep up with the speed of content consumption. The combination of game theory and games is fundamentally a form of user-generated content where players generate the content. AI is a new path forward that does not rely on models where players compete against one another. We are not claiming that AI can independently evolve and generate immersive content as this is neither our focus nor goal. We prefer to concentrate on how AI can play a role in gameplay where it increases the depth of gameplay strategies. Traditional MOBA and Battle Royale games are known to integrate AI at a more rudimentary level in order to balance the game more effectively. AI is usually present when the skill level of players has not reached a cutoff where it then proceeds to perform the role of optimizing the player experience and reducing the learning curve. AI Arena is a combat game that differs from traditional games by introducing a concept where every boxer is an NFT, and the boxer is controlled by AI, not players. Players can upgrade their boxer through configuring boxer training programs or engaging in actual combat so their boxers improve their combat strategies through deep learning. This is a succinct model that integrates AI into the gameplay, resulting in deeper and more dynamic content. A model of AI versus players, constant generation of unique game experiences, satisfying the limitless needs of players; these are all hallmarks of an infinite game that is truly infinite. 💎 Feedback We value every user’s feedback, please fill out the following questionnaire to help us improve and grow. https://forms.gle/CwGTCSxQKz6APwB4A 🌠 New to NASH Metaverse Hope you enjoyed our recent news and we’re extremely excited for the months ahead.
