# NEXT VENTURE: BEAM EXPANSION ADDED TO ROADMAP

We are thrilled to announce that Nekoverse: City of Greed is officially partnering with the Merit Circle DAO, the largest gaming DAO in the industry, and their gaming network Beam to bring Nekoverse: City of Greed closer to a larger player base in the space and to help grow the Beam ecosystem.

The expansion to Beam has been added to the roadmap of Nekoverse: City of Greed! The road map will soon be updated and shared with the community.

**What is Beam?**

Beam is a gaming network specifically designed for gaming and game projects, developed by Merit Circle, the leading gaming DAO in the Web3 space.

Beam currently functions as an Avalanche subnet. In this capacity, Beam is not just an independent blockchain; it's an integral part of a dynamic, interconnected network. It leverages the scalability, speed, and security features of the Avalanche protocol while maintaining the ability to operate autonomously, with a particular focus on gaming applications.

1.  **Lower Gas Fees and Reduced Entry Barriers**: Beam will significantly reduce most of the gas fees for Nekoverse: City of Greed players, especially when compared to the current high gas fees on Ethereum. This will make it easier to distribute the game to a broader Web3 audience and attract more players to Nekoverse: City of Greed. Additionally, given the economic design of City of Greed, more players mean increased demand for the $ASG token.  
    Also, the Land claim portal for Neko holders will also be available on Beam network, eligible for all unclaimed Neko. This enables Neko holders to claim their Land at a normal gas fee.
    
2.  **Game Distribution and Engagement with the Web3 Gaming Community**: With the expansion to Beam, we will receive substantial support from the Merit Circle DAO, the largest gaming DAO in the space, in terms of community building, production, marketing and user acquisition. Merit Circle not only brings together a strong community of dedicated Web3 players but is also a leader in the blockchain gaming field, contributing to the success of many well-known games.
