_Why I Started Writing on Paragraph_

Hello,

I am Noomi Khan, and this is my first post on Paragraph. Today I want to share with you why I started writing and what I plan to write about going forward. If you are new here or thinking about whether you should write on Paragraph, this post is for you.

1. Why I Chose Paragraph

There are many places to write on the internet – Medium, Substack, X, Instagram. But Paragraph is different because it mixes Web3 and writing.

First reason: _Ownership_. Whatever you write here is yours. Posts are minted like NFTs, and your content won’t be deleted by any platform. On Medium or Instagram, if your account gets banned, everything is gone. On Paragraph, you are in control. Your words, your audience, your data. No algorithm will decide how many people see your post.

Second reason: _Direct support_. People can tip your posts in ETH, USDC, or on Base chain. There is no ad company, no sponsor, no algorithm deciding if you get paid. People who like your writing will support you directly. This model is fair for writers because the value comes straight from the reader. No middleman, no revenue share hassle.

Third reason: _Community_. On Paragraph, most people are writers, builders, and crypto people who actually read and reply. It’s not just a game of likes and views. If you write well here, people follow you and discuss with you. Comments here are meaningful, not copy-paste emojis. Real conversations happen, and new ideas come from them.

Fourth reason: _Discoverability_. Paragraph has a strong network effect. When you write a post, it goes to your followers’ feed, and if someone shares it, it reaches other writers too. That’s why consistency leads to growth without paid ads. And since people come here specifically for writing, the engagement rate is much better than on other platforms.

2. What I Will Write About

My focus will be on three things:

_Crypto and Web3 basics_: Many people hear about crypto but don’t understand it. I will explain in simple Hinglish what a wallet is, why gas fees exist, and how to check new projects. No jargon, no fake hype. Just what’s useful. Every post will have one concept, one example, and one action step so you can try it yourself. I will also share the tools I use myself.

_Personal experience_: I will share what I am learning and the mistakes I am making. People learn more from real stories than from theory. If I missed an airdrop, or saved myself from a scam, I will tell you. You learn more from failures, and I don’t want to hide that. Trust is built through transparency.

_Life and learning_: Not just crypto. Time management, focus, writing practice, and the small things that make daily life better. I believe if your mind is not clear, no skill will stick. That’s why I will also write about productivity, reading habits, and mental clarity. Web3 is fast, but if your system is slow, it doesn’t help.

Every week I will try to make at least one post actionable. That means after reading, you can go and try something yourself. The other posts will be thought pieces where I share my perspective. The goal is that after each post, you have one small takeaway.

3. What’s In It For You

If you are new to Web3, this place is safe for you. I will start from the basics, step by step. After reading any post, you will be able to try it yourself. If there is anything technical, I will explain it with screenshots and simple steps. There’s no need to feel overwhelmed.

If you are a writer, see how you can earn directly from writing in Web3. You don’t have to wait for a Medium partner program. Here, if 10 people tip you 1 dollar each, that’s 10 dollars straight to your wallet. And this earning compounds because people keep tipping older posts if the content is evergreen. So the value of a good post increases over time.

And if you are just curious, read and ask questions. I will try to reply to every comment. Learning happens through discussion. If you don’t understand a point, feel free to ask. There is no stupid question. Everyone started somewhere.

Thanks for reading. If you liked this post, let me know in the comments what topic I should write about next. See you in the next post.
