The answer to this question is simple. It is simply because Base has made interacting with blockchain technology as easy as possible. There are over 100+ projects and dApps available on Base today, and they benefit everyone, including builders, creators, businesses, artists, and everyday people. Base is a layer 2 blockchain designed to provide a more scalable, cost-efficient, and user-friendly tool for developers and end-users. Base stands out from other blockchains with these factors: enhanced security and trust, low-cost transactions, interoperability, broad user access, etc. Base makes everything easy onboarding for everyone like Builders / Artists / Creators etc. to share and monetize their work without excessive overhead. With Base, users don’t need "complex wallets" or "advanced technical knowledge" as a newbie all you need is a "coinbase wallet" to help you participate in the blockchain economy.

This is my first published write-up onchain and it's about the wonderful Base network. Because this is the first one, I do not want you to read too long because I believe so many creatives have done justice to the topic of the Base Ecosystem. The purpose of this article is to inspire and impact you with a brief and powerful gospel about Base and the significance of being onchain.

**HOW DOES BASE INTEND TO BRING PEOPLE ONCHAIN?**

Base is a secure, low-cost, builder-friendly Ethereum Layer 2 built to bring the next billion builders and users onchain. The goal is to bring the entire world onchain in order to create a global economy, drive innovation, unleash creativity, and build a community that connects people all over the world. To achieve all of these, Base has come to create that ecosystem that stands out in:

1\. Security and Trust: As a Layer 2 solution on Ethereum also leveraging Ethereum's security. Furthermore, it is backed by Coinbase, a trusted and regulated company.

2\. A Developer-Friendly Ecosystem: The magic Base does is make blockchain technology more accessible to developers by providing seamless integrations with Coinbase products and easy access to the larger Ethereum Ecosystem, building dApps and integration with Base much easier.

3\. Providing Low transaction costs.

4\. Easy onboarding for both new users and dApps development for developers.

**HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE ONCHAIN?**

Being a non-crypto or web3 person, I can say that my enthusiasm for learning about and utilizing onchain tools and platforms has grown like wildfire. All I can say is that it is been on the bullish train thus far, and I am just getting started. There is still a lot to learn, earn, and enjoy on the new internet called Onchain.
