They call me Rey, but I have no crown Accusations of being criminal never cease to abound But I always stay true in what I do Don’t judge my grudge unless you’ve walked in my shoes. They call me Rey, but I have no throne Strip your farce like my words be acetone Caustic and flammable, best I stay alone No one can hold me, my words shatter bones They call me Rey, but I have no kingdom Heavy is the head who seeks the depths of wisdom. I am nothing but a peasant in this rigged system What you call me is irrelevant Your labels can’t contain that which breaks precedent Neither shall you properly define my element So get out of it. They call me Rey, but the crown was never theirs to give Anointed the day I defied death and chose to live Yet I lay no claim to any throne. My heart is my power, my pain is my home. But mercy towards the wicked will never be known. My name is Rey This pain is my home.
