Look me in my eyes and tell me what do you see? Is it me? Or is it the person that you want me to be? Can you see what I see? Or do you stand there in utter disbelief? Cause I refuse to succumb to your version of reality? Explain to me who I am? Sorry love there's no need. I roam through this land never got lent a hand Got knocked on the floor while being told "Get up, stand" I don't mourn the lessons that shaped me into a man They strengthened me in those times where even you ran So I tell you if you dare, look me in my eyes, but only if you can. Can you glare past the sea of hurt and pain? Or are you afraid of diving too deep and going insane? Tell me again my friend why should I remember your name? When that which was precious to me to you was a game? Look me in my eyes, or do you feel ashamed? If only you'd stop all your negative objections And understand, my friend, that theres no changing my direction. That my soul is dead and that I seek my resurrection Youd understand why I cant accept your stipulations. And why to me there can be no hesitation Truly look me in my eyes and behold that revelation Truly look me in my eyes and not at your own reflection.
