Taiko is a A Type 1 (Ethereum-equivalent) ZK-EVM which focuses on maximum compatibility.

Taiko’s code is open source and available on GitHub.

Fully decentralized and permissionless nodes, proposers, and provers. Anyone can participate in Taiko testnet.

It’s also supported by Vitalik Buterin!

Let’s start our testnet.

Firstly, we will use Metamask wallet. Visit [this page](https://chainlist.org/chain/11155111), search for Sepolia add Sepolia network to your Metamask.

Next, we are going to add Taiko network. Go to [this page](https://chainlist.org/chain/167004) and click Add to Metamask after connecting wallet.

If adding automatically doesn’t work because of some errors, please use the picture below to add network manually.
