*   Alarm Systems
    

sensory nodes are designed to raise alarm if they detect any wrong block being proposed.

*   Purpose
    

The main aim of sensory nodes is to address specific blockchain challenges within its environment.

*   Reward mechanism
    

The nodes determine if the node operator will receive esORB3 token rewards from the network by staking ORB3 validating the POS ( Proof of Stake ) agenda.

*   Flexible Hosting Operations
    

The flexibility of the sensory nodes ensures that a very large number of people can contribute to network’s security & stability The sensory node can be operated in different platforms which includes members laptops & desktops.

The Orb3 network deploys the advanced Attention challenges v2 protocol, involving the Orb3 chain, Arbitrum One (parent chain), a trusted Challenger, licensed Orb3 Sentries, and a Referee contract.

There are 3 Classes of the sentry nodes which are:

*   Ensuring Assertion Integrity
    
*   Reward systems
    

Let’s quickly talk about them one after the other.

One of the key components of ORB3 is the “challenger role.”

The challenger signs validators' assertions in Orb 3's Arbitrum One roll-up protocol, verified by the referee and recorded as challenges associated with the assertion.

The next key component is the “ORB3 Sentries Registration”

The ORB3 sentries can register with the referee by purchasing a sentry license key which makes them eligible to post claims regarding an assertion.

The last Key Component is the “Assertion & Claim Process”

After confirming a successor assertion, a Sentry with a correct claim contacts the Referee to post a redeem transaction.

The referee verifies certain conditions before issuing a reward to a sentry.

The Sentry License Key within the Orb3 network is a unique non-fungible token (NFT) crucial for operating a Sentry Node.

Operators must send the required amount of Ether in minting the NFT to purchase this key.

Here are the 3 factors under these:

*   Every assertion must use the exact inbox messages from when its predecessor assertion was made.
    
*   Upon assertion creation, any node can calculate the fully determined state root of its correct successor.
    
*   This system encourages Sentries to precisely identify the correct next state root.

Sentry nodes receive rewards based on various factors, here are a few of them:

The Sentry's state license ID.

The successor state root.

A challenge value that only becomes known after the successor state root is fully determined.

A sentry node can be operated by anyone who has interest & the technical capabilities to do so.

For you to get started, download & install the required software.

Purchase at least one sentry key to qualify for rewards.

To claim your accumulated reward, operators must pass a know Your Customer check conducted by blockpass .

*   Eligible Conditions
    

These are conditions necessary for the verification of the operator which includes are, the operator must not be located in USA & the operator must not belong to any office of foreign asset control (OFAC )

*   Local Law Compliance
    

Operators need to verify that obtaining a license key aligns with the local laws that apply to them.
