### What is Nillion and why should you care?

[Nillion](https://www.nillion.com/) is the first decentralized, trustless, and permissionless network for web3, which uses NMC technology.

NMC is **Nil Message Compute**, a revolutionary technology from Nillion that makes decentralized networks **faster** and **more secure.** Because of that, it cannot be spied on or changed.

### How can you contribute?

It’s not a secret that Nillion still is in development and it’s still early, so you shouldn’t miss this opportunity. Currently, there is such a role system:

*   **Navigator** Navigator is the role that is given to you when you join the discord. It doesn’t give you any exclusive perks, so let’s go on.
    
*   **Pilot** Pilot is the role that can be earned by members of the community who complete a set of 4 medals: _1\. Activity Medal_ Requirements: Reach rank 10 — you get XP as you send messages and talk in voice channels _2\. Friends Medal_ Requirements: Invite 10 friends to the Nillion server. Create a custom invite link to the general chat and use it to invite 10 of your friends to the Nillion server. Create a ‘Claim a Medal’ ticket in the “support-ticket” section on discord, and give us a brief description of your 10 friends! (Who are they, how do you know them, why they wanted to join Nillion _3\. Contribution Medal_\*\* **Requirements: Make a meaningful contribution to the Nillion community. You can create anything you like: thread/video/graphics/presentation/article, etc. After that, the moderator will reward you with this medal _4\. Points Medal Requirements_** \*\*Buy the Points Medal. How to earn points? Check out #points-info on discord. The exclusive perks that all Pilots gain access to are:
    
    Access to Discord AMA/Q&As with some of the founders
    

Access to future papers early Access to exclusive email updates A chance to have access to our mining syste

*   **Nillionare**  
    Nillionaires are those who joined the server with sub-1000 users. The number of Nillionaired will never go above 1000. Some very exclusive perks come with holding the Nillionaire title.
    
*   **Ambassador** Ambassadors are chosen **once a month** during Town Hall. It’s a voice meeting with team members in discord. It usually happens on the first Thursday of the month. Ambassador is the only role that must be maintained with consistent contributions every month. The exclusive perks that all Ambassadors gain access to are:
    
    1.  A Lootbox Key and 100 Nil Points every month
        
    2.  Access to the private channel
        
    3.  The flashiest community role and badge
