Outpost Surge is a city-building survival game on Mars, where players balance resource management, city growth, and settler health to turn a barren landscape into a thriving, vibrant city. We’re grateful for the player feedback from our 2024 Early Access program, which shaped this direction. Game development is a journey, and finding the right formula takes time. We leveraged our 3D world-building expertise to create a fast-paced, strategic game where terrain and layout matter. We wanted early decisions to shape late-game play, reducing randomness and giving players more control over outcomes. Through extensive brainstorming, testing, and feedback, the most compelling aspects we zeroed in on were building a settlement from the ground up, optimizing placement, and unique survival tradeoffs.Game MechanicsOutpost Surge challenges players to balance resource management, settlement growth, and settler well-being to establish a flourishing Martian settlement.
